Gym accessories
A few simple pieces make home and gym training more comfortable: gloves that protect your palms on bars and dumbbells, a speed rope for quick cardio, shorts that stay put when you squat and run.
About gym accessories
These pair well with our resistance bands for a full home set-up.
For a simple home routine, combine skipping in short bursts with band exercises between rounds: a few minutes of rope, then squats, rows and presses with a band, repeated three or four times. It needs very little space and almost no kit, and you can make it harder by moving to a stronger band or skipping faster.
Training shorts with a high waistband stay in place during squats, lunges and cycling, and quick-drying fabric keeps you comfortable through a long session.
How to choose
- Gloves should be snug across the palm with the wrist strap firm but not tight.
- Set the skipping rope length so the handles reach your armpits when you stand on the middle.
- Skip on a mat or wooden floor rather than concrete to save your knees and the rope.
- Wash training kit after each session to keep it fresh.
Questions
What length skipping rope do I need?
Stand on the middle: the handles should reach roughly to your armpits. Adjustable ropes can be cut or set to length.
Do gym gloves help grip?
They protect the skin and stop calluses; some people find they also help with sweaty hands.
Can I return something that does not fit?
Yes, within 14 days if unused. See our returns page.
